Boost's Investment Academy is back by popular demand and set to take place in early 2025.

The fully-funded Investment Academy builds on the success of the first cohort which took place this year. It is aimed at ambitious Lancashire business leaders who are interested in taking on equity investment and want to understand more about funding pathways, key considerations, what pitfalls to avoid and securing the right investment for them.

The interactive session will give participants a chance to register their interest in the Investment Academy as well as an overview of Lancashire's investment landscape and what they will gain by taking part in the service. This includes:

• The support available in Lancashire to find and secure funding
• The wider business support landscape in Lancashire

The Investment Academy is delivered by Boost’s Access to Finance team (part of Lancashire County Council) who will work with public and private sector experts from across the Lancashire business community, including:

• Fhunded: Lancashire County Council's early-stage investment initiative
• Praetura Ventures: Leading venture capital provider supporting companies in Lancashire
• Forbes Solicitors: Award-winning law firm with offices across Lancashire
• AMS Group: Leading North West professional services firm
• LWD Studio: Lancashire-based creative branding consultancy
• GC Angels: Early-stage investor and connector

The event will also give eligible businesses the opportunity to then submit expressions of interest for the academy.

Eligibility

From September 1 2023, Boost is funded by Lancashire County Council, the Department for Business & Trade (DBT), and UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) allocations from ten Lancashire local authorities.
